Music Ministry at Lamb of God
About Our Music Program
Lamb of God places great value on an integrated and active music program. Signs of this are present in each of our worship services and special events. It is clear when attending services, that music plays and integral role. Hymns and liturgies live in the Lutheran tradition of proclaiming the Word, praising God, and containing the prayers of the gathered. Choirs at Lamb of God rehearse and lead Worship from September to May.
Instrumentalists are always welcome in the worship services of Lamb of God and rehearse as needed throughout the year. Also, pre-service Pianists provide music in the sanctuary as people gather and prepare themselves for worship. This important part of the service is open to any pianist who can play reflective music for 15 - 20 minutes.
Choir
Lamb of God Chorale is the primary ensemble of worship. The group is open to all, even those with no musical training or experience. We sing at all major festivals and most Sunday's from October to May, Rehearsals are every Monday, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m

Bell Choir
Lamb of God Bells is a small group of dedicated bell ringers who supplement worship and festivals with a 3 octave set of English handbells. Some musical knowledge is needed to join. Rehearsals are every Monday, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
Children's Choir

Children's Choir practice is held September thru May on Wednesday evenings from 6-7:00 pm preceded by a light supper at 5:30 pm. The practice time includes singing, playing of instruments, ringing of bells, moving, rhythm and music games. Our goal will be to sing in some worship services throughout the year. The Youth Bell Choir is a new program branching from the children's choir. Any students ages 3rd through 8th grade are eligible to join and learn bell ringing and team playing. Rehearsals are from 5-5:30pm on Wednesdays, September thru May.
